SensoSmart Closed Caption 23 Locate Speaker in a noisy restaurant

  1. Great visualisation of application scenario. I the second picture showing the user who is speaking and the arrow showing in which direction the sound is projected towards or from?

  2. Thanks so much for your comment. The image is showing the SensoSmart Closed Caption 23 feature to inform the listener about the location and identity of the person who is speaking. If a person has hearing loss in one ear, then it is impossible to determine by sound alone the direction of the speaker. If hearing loss is in the high frequencies, the listener might have further difficulty discriminating the female voices from one another. It can be very hard to recognize a voice. By adding a little SensoSmart Closed Caption 23 feature that localizes the speaker, and personalizing the app with the names of the speakers, SensoSmart can assist the listener by indicating which person is speaking. Then the listener can look at the speaker and improve listening understanding.
